Recalculate My Steps, Dear LORD!

Who be checkin’ when ya know ya doin’ wrong huh?
Got your steps, give your blessings
Know right from wrong, turn the lights on
All ya gotta do is follow faith til they call us all home
But it’s so hard, temptation is everywhere
Gotta hold my guard, like oh my God…
Order my steps, lead me, guide me
Everyday, send your anointing Father
I pray, order my steps in you word

Order My Steps (Dear Lord) – Bone Thugs-N-Harmony ft. Yolanda Adams

gps_logo-1I can’t speak for all of you but I know, I have always pray for God to Order My Steps, but sometimes I tend to go off track. The beautiful thing about that is even when we make wrong turns in our spiritual lives, God loves us enough to recalculate or recalibrate our route, He planned for us, even with that misstep figured in? I love that He is my Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and if I ask Him, He will always straighten the course, and send me down a new set of directions

No matter where you are in your spiritual life, we can always make mistakes, wrong turns or even miss our exit. Even after praying Order My Steps Dear Lord, we still can get off course sometimes, because we are human. Yes even you mature saints that are sanctified, saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. But we must not beat ourselves up about it or get down because of error and even in situations where it’s our own sins and desires that gear us off-track.

Even when you are in a self-inflicted situation, and feel like the Apostle Paul did, in Romans 7:14-15 “We know that the Law is right and good, but I am a person who does what is wrong and bad. I am not my own boss. Sin is my boss.  I do not understand myself. I want to do what is right but I do not do it. Instead, I do the very thing I hate.” The thing to remember is God is a forgiving God, a God of another chance, not just a second chance (cause I myself have had more than my share of second chances) but a God of another chance. God will always give us a way out, another chance to get it right, if we come to Him, even when we sin, and turn away from Him, He will never turn away from us.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, now I might not make it to Heaven
But I’m tryin’ to come back in the resurrection, change my place in paradise
So I pray to God, try to change my life
But temptation makes it hard for me to make it out
Man I gotta quit lustin’ I need to stop smokin’
I need God’s guidance, without it I’m hopeless
Lord please help me stand strong…

gpsSo next time you feel like maybe you have gone a little off-course, made a wrong turn, stepped out of position with God. Come to Him for forgiveness and ask Him to be your GPS and recalculate your steps. If you call on Him, He will always answer. He wants to bless us, not because we have always obeyed, not because we’ve always prayed or always lived a spotless life. None of us are worthy of His Love, His unmerited Grace and Favor, His peace and His Joy! But He offers it to us anyway because He loves us. We can never do enough to earn it, deserve it or even thank Him enough for it. But even when we are walking down the wrong path, even when we are out of position, even when we make a wrong turn, God will always put us back on the right path when we come to Him, humbly submitting ourselves.

He won’t stop you from doin’ wrong. He won’t stop you from walkin’ outside of the center of His will. He will allow you to make those mistakes and choose every other path other than the one He has designed for your life, because of FREE WILL. And then sit back and say, let me know how that works out for you. When you are ready to do it my way and allow me to be God, I will be here. I thank God that he will he will always recalculate our steps.

    AJ,
What an amazing compilation of God’s word to lift us up and remind us of how to overcome the difficulties we bear each day. It s wonderful to see the power of faith working in so many people’s lives, and I commend you for the work you are doing to encourage, uplift, and inspire the youth and the young at heart through the Spiritual Minded Magazine.

Let us never forget that we are to let the peace that comes from Christ rule in our hearts. For as members of one body we are called to live in peace and always be thankful. We are to let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill our lives. We are to teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives, sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever we do or say, it should be done as a representative of our Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

    Keep up the good work!

I love the comment in the blog, “even when we make wrong turns in our spiritual lives, God loves us enough to recalculate or recalibrate our route, He planned for us, even with that misstep figured in? I love that He is my Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and if I ask Him, He will always straighten the course, and send me down a new set of directions.”

Thank you so much for this encouragement and reminder today!! So often we need to be reminded that we are human and not perfect all though we strive to be like CHRIST we are not HE. When we do mess up GOD is always there and willing to redirect back to that RIGHT place in YHWH. For that I will forever be grateful!! Thanks again for this encouragement!! May God Bless you and this ministry continuously..
